Democratic Congressman seeks applicants for full- or part-time unpaid congressional internship for Fall 2017. Duties will include conducting legislative research, drafting memos, assisting with front office duties, and performing basic administrative tasks. Candidates must exhibit strong writing and communication skills. Maryland residents or strong ties to Maryland are preferred. 

The Sixth district of Maryland comprises the northwestern portions of Maryland, Since 2010, redistricting has turned MD-06 into a Democratic leaning district. The district contains a mix of Rural and Urban issues, containing both the Hagerstown Metro and a large amount of mountainous rural area.
