Senator Claire McCaskill is looking for a Legislative Correspondent to work on judiciary, ethics, crime, civil rights, immigration and government affairs and homeland security issues. Primary duties are to sort, research and respond to constituent mail. LC will also assist Legislative Assistants responsible for these issues and may help prepare for hearings, as well as attend briefings and meet with constituent groups. Applicants should be resourceful, organized and dependable. Strong writing skills are essential. Applicants with Missouri or Midwest roots are encouraged to apply. Experience in issue areas preferred.
