The Energy and Commerce Democratic Staff seeks an organized and enthusiastic person to coordinate outreach and member services. Responsibilities include planning and executing member, staff and stakeholder meetings on issues before the committee; collaborating with policy staff to plan and organize Democratic Committee Forums; drafting and circulating notifications and communications so members, staff and external organizations are aware of the Committee’s actions; and handling other administrative tasks for the Committee.

Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) is accepting applications for a Spring press internship, beginning in January and lasting until May, with the Washington, D.C. office.

Senator Claire McCaskill is looking for a Legislative Correspondent to work on judiciary, ethics, crime, civil rights, immigration and government affairs and homeland security issues.

Senator Charles E. Schumer’s press office seeks full-time, unpaid interns in Washington, DC, starting in November/December. Part-time interns will also be considered but candidates with full-time availability will be given preference. It is preferable if the candidate can continue to work through the Spring months and into May.

Sen. Claire McCaskill’s office in Columbia, Mo. has an opening for a field representative. This staff member would be responsible for representing Sen. McCaskill throughout the Northeast and North Central areas of Missouri. The outreach area covers about 25-28 counties
